Friend won't give my library books back..?

So this sounds really nerdy but my friend and I are going into college and have a summer reading list, I have an account with the county library and she doesn't so she asked if I could check out 3 books for her.. We've been friends for a while so I didn't think anything of it. Well, a couple of days ago I broke plans with her because I got called to babysit. She texted me yelling at me and blah blah, now we aren't friends. She won't give me those 3 books back so I called the library and to replace all three it's 52 dollars. What should I do! I did nothing but try to be a nice friend and it back fired..

sue her :) you have the rights since you have records from the library that it was just burrowed by you. that could be considered "theft" if your friend still insist to return the books.... but i guess it would still cost you money. It would still be the same paying the books in the library. :)

I guess the only option here is to personally approach and talk to your friend. Settle things and understand each other. :) If she is really a friend, she would forgive you and return the books.

Easily said but hard to do. Good luck and Good day. :)

You should go to her house and get your books back. Tell her she is being childish and you thought you all were actually friends but guess not since she throws a hissy fit like that over breaking plans 1 time. Since you are getting ready to go to college you both most likely still live with your parents, If she really wont give them back tell her mom lol, last resort.

What I would do is tell her that if she does not return them, you will report her to the police for stealing your books. I'm not kidding here -- technically, this is exactly what she did. You shouldn't have to pay for something that is your friend's fault, and as they have been checked out in your name, you will end up being the one penalized if you don't act. If she doesn't return them to you then, by all means, contact the police to report a theft. That will get them back to you immediately.

Good luck. She doesn't sound like much of a friend at all....

    Answer mine please? (it's short)

    Catfight! Catfight! Catfight!

No, but i'm serius. You should slap some sense into her. If you've been friends with her for a long time and she stops being friends with you because you couldnt make it ONE DAY, then, i wouldn't call her a true friend.
