3-phase circuit question please help me?

1.) Assuming a bac sequence, determine the line currents of a 3-phase load having an apparent power of 4500 VA and 0.73 power factor lagging.

2.) With the same apparent power and power factor in 1.), if the sequence is now in cn-an-bn, determine the said load's line currents.

I have to make a couple of assumptions. First by "bac sequence" you are referring to a delta connected load. I make this assumption based on your second question which suggests one of the changes is to a Wye or "Y" connected load. Next you give the load as 4500 VA as the apparent power which is what you need to determine the line currents and thus will not be using the power factor. If you meant the 4500 VA to be 4500 watts at 0.73 power factor, then we have a slightly different problem. Last you gave no voltage and thus it would not be possible to solve for actual currents.

    Answer to #1: I-line = 4500VA / V - line to line, I'll assume 208 volts, I = 21.63 amps.

    Answer to #2: I-line = I-phase = 4500VA/(208*sqrt(3)) = 12.49 amps.

    Hope this helps,
