So, Mourinoh isn't average?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Annv1...

I loved reading all the answers saying that despite his brilliant squad, Mourinho was still a good (great/brilliant etc) coach in the past 2 seasons. So what you're saying is that YOU CAN lead a top class squad and still show brilliance as a coach/manager? So, please explain to me how 2 Champions Leagues, 3 La Ligas, 2 CWCs and and overall 14 trophies from a possible 19 AVERAGE? Will his ability suddenly be magnified if Tito fails, or will that just prove you have been wrong about him for four years?

And in case you're wondering, I don't think Mourinho is average, he is far above that, just making a point.

And to those who say he didn't build the team, let me remind you he gave debuts to 18 La Masia players (so not including players he bought) and 12 have stayed at the club since, so yes, he definitely helped build the team.

Why has Mourinho been more impressive over the last 2 seasons than Guardiola over the last 4 (to the extent where one is the best ever and the other is, and i paraphrase, less than a "chimp")?

Update:

You have the colonel as your dp, you're either a racist pr*ck or ignorant, if anyone's opinion is invalid it's yours.

The criticism against Guardiola is just some meaningless inflammatory statement echoed from the mouths of Y!A morons.

The people who know, i.e. neutrals, professional pundits, journalists, former players and current managers all know Mourinho and Guardiola are brilliant, and I really do think Mou is. GOAT is a stretch..

The proof is in the pudding, how haters believe Pep just sat and watched the 2008 Barca squad grow into one of the greatest teams ever is ridiculous, and just screams insecurity because their club is inferior.

Barca in 2008 was in a decline, Rijkaard was under heavy pressure, their star player was a shadow of his former self, and they had resounding losses to Real Madrid.

He's clearly an excellent manager, as is Guardiola. I think people possibly call him average to restore some balance, because he has so many fanboys and fangirls who call him the greatest manager ever etc.

As you say, you don't win so many trophies without having a lot of talent. Ditto Guardiola.

Does Mourinho have his flaws as a manager? Absolutely. But so does everyone.

I don't like Mourinho as a person (based on his antics) but his record is above reproach.

First of all your opinion means nothing because you're a supporter of like 10 top clubs.

Second, Mourinho had pretty much the same squad the manager before him had, yet he actually won La Liga and went much further in the CL.

Third, Guardiola needs to repeat his success with another team before we can call him a great manager.

Why are you crying? Guardiola is an average coach. Nothing more to it. And he can't even handle the "pressure" of managing the best team over the last few years and winning nearly every trophy. What a pussy.

Mourinho has never managed a club with a youth set up like that

He's not average by any means, just unproven and inexperienced
