English teaching job in November?

I will be moving to Chile at the start of October. I have a month long TEFL course so I will be looking for work teaching english in November. I have heard it can be slow in January and February. Will I be able to find work (at least 5-10 hours a week) teaching in November?

Yes, it can be slow at the beginning of the year but as long as you are in a big city you may be able to pick up enough work to tide you over till the new term starts in March. As well as schools you can really push the private lesson aspect of teaching and you may well be able to build up a good few hours if you really go for it.

    Good luck!
