My Acer laptop isn't working?
I have an Acer Aspire One laptop, and I think it got a virus a few months ago, so I was unable to open up ANYTHING on it, including things like Notepad, Internet, Games ANYTHING. I don't remember downloading anything though...
Anyway is there a way to wipe it out so it would start like it was new?
I've tried taking the battery out and coming back an hour later, and I've also tried clicking ALT+F10 at the same time at startup, but nothing worked.
It doesn't have a CD/DVD slot to put anything in, so I couldn't have gotten a reboot disc thing when I got it.
My desktop shows all the icons and it shows the background I set it, but if you click anything like for example, Internet Explorer, it says 'iexplore.exe can not start.
I think it's because of the virus, but is there any way to wipe out the computer or take the virus away? Because I tried fixing the virus, but I need a registration email and key to do so, but I don't have one.
HELP!!???

Would help when asking a question if you posted the model number and installed operating system of the Acer netbook or laptop !
Is it a Mini / Netbook or a laptop ?
You need to reinstall the operating system using the built in system recovery or the recovery disc set made for the Acer to fix it then you use the original operating system product key code off the sticker on bottom of it to re-register the operating system.
All the instructions and links are here, How do I restore my Acer computer using the eRecovery Management program? http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1...
Order the eRecovery Media for your Acer here http://us-store.acer.com/rcd/
These are your only options to fix it correctly.

First you want to hold the power button for 10 seconds (Factory Rest) When its on Press ALT-F8
A booting screen should come out and show you a bunch on things , just wait . It will take you into
Safe Mode on your laptop you want to open the Virus program, and smash your head into your screen to take away the virus , next you would want to do is , pour some hot water on your keyboard so it takes away 0.75 of the virus . Your almost there . You have tooken away 0.90% of the virus next you want to drop your computer at least from 5 feet so the virus, flys out . Congrats your computer should be working 100x better !
