Do I Still Need to Renew my Canadian Permanent Resident Card?
I just found out that my current PR card has expired. The thing is, I already applied for Canadian Citizenship a couple of months before my PR card expired. I already received a booklet for review from for my citizenship application, but after that, I haven't received anything else. It's been a waiting game.
My question is: Given that I already applied for Citizenship (which I still don't know when it's going to be processed), do I still need to renew my PR card (which might or might not take longer than the citizenship)?
Please give me a specific answer so that I may understand. Thanks.

Apply. That way no one can say that you have no PR card and technically no right to be in Canada. If you are in breach of the PR rules in could affect your citizenship application.
