I have a budgie, he's a year old and I know a lot about budgies... You didn't tell much details but you should check the color of his droppings- It should be dark green or black (NOT lime green) with a center of white... If it looks fine then he's probably not sick. Again- not many details about his age and stuff. I really think you should take him to the vet and add new toys-try getting him a bigger cage... if he's 1-2 years old then he should be eating 3-4 times a day so make sure you change the food daily so he doesn't run out of fresh food. If he's 2-5 years he should be eating 4-5 times and so on... If he is hand tamed then try FEEDING him food yourself.

I think just to be sure he's fine you should take him to the vet for a check up

My budgies know the stick training technique > http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detail... but please! Before you watch the link, I would like you to read on!

    the items you need:

*Clicker.... the same sound a pickle jar cap makes when you push it (its like a Button) if no clicker available, use the pickle jar cap.

    * millet - spray millet, its a small branch of brown seeds you will see it in your closest pet store in the bird section.

*stick - not an outdoor stick just picked off the Ground, must be a pop sickle stick, shish-co-bob stick, or a pen with no ink cartridge...I use a scewer/shish co bob stick.

ok, now watch the video... but come back to this!!! then when he knows/is learning how to do the stick training and will imedietly touch the stick with no hesitation, when it is snack time, put a small peice of food on the end, almost invisable! when he eats it, you can gradually move onto bigger peices! the stick training technique, is also good for hand taming, and trick training! the clicker comes in handy alot! this is the way I got my budgies to eat lots of food! try for yourself! :D

You didn't elaborate much details so your best bet would be going to a vet.
