Can i refuse an eval?

My sons noncustodial parent wants to have him admitted. The doctor agrees because she is unsure. This is in maryland, what can I do

    Being the custodial parent it should be entirely your choice.

    But if the doctor agrees that an eval would make sense, why not do it? It should be in the best interest of your child to do so.

    While you likely are free to refuse, this may be used against you if the non-custodial parent decides to seek custody.
