    None.

Insurance usually does not pay more than 50% for restorative work. During the first year, it usually does not pay anything for restorative work, especially if you already needed it before you got the insurance.

Even if you get insurance, after you spend money paying for the insurance, you will have to spend more money paying for the restorative work, yourself, because insurance won't pay all of it, and might not pay any.

It would be cheaper to pay for only the restorative work, yourself, without using insurance, and not pay for dental insurance.

    Careful of scams out there.

Some will charge you monthly for a discount card that dentists do not accept.

I have had dental work done with insurance.

Did you know that they only pay about 50% of the costs in some cases?

    Ask anyone.

And... I have been paying monthly for years for this.

Nothing in this world is free. You will pay.

They may even make you wait 1 full year, before having work done.

Why not call a dentist and find out how much it costs?

    It can't be that much.

They can do a little at a time so you won't be hit hard.

Dental insurance doesn't cover cosmetic stuff, and private dental insurance rarely covers orthodontics. It has a one year waiting period before stuff is covered, has a maximum dollar amount it pays out per year, and up to 50% coinsurance clause - meaning you still pay half.

Because most people looking to buy private dental insurance, only want it because they have a bunch of work they want done, it's designed to not pay out more than it costs.

You're better off finding a local dental school and getting your work done there.
