Is Robert meachem a decent WR3 option?

I drafted Kenny britt as my WR3 right before his third surgery on his knee and now a DUI, leaving meachem as my best option to fill in. Is he good enough in a 10 team league? If not is my team good enough to overcome it?

My team:

QB- Matthew stafford

RB- Chris Johnson

RB- jamaal Charles

WR- Greg Jennings

WR- jeremy maclin

WR- Robert meachem

TE- jermichael finley

D/ST- bills

K- none(will add one before e season starts)

Bench-

Doug Martin

Willis mcgahee

Donald brown

Peyton hillis

Ronnie hillman

Kenny britt

Mike williams

Meachem is a popular sleeper candidate, but he's essentially an unproven player as the #1 guy. In NO he has the benefit of playing with an obscene number of talents WRs, and of course had Drew Brees throwing him the ball.

Still, the sheer number of balls which should be thrown his way could make him a viable #3 receiver. Kenny Britt is the exact reason why you don't have fantasy drafts this early in the off-season. It turns the draft into a crapshoot.

We have Meachem slotted at #33, but that could rise if he's able to produce in training camp.

This is a fairly good team, but I would not call it top notch. I'm guessing you took Stafford too soon, because your starters as a group don't seem quite as competitive as they should be. However, I think Meachem is fine as a WR3.

You do have some interesting strength on your bench, which helps, especially Martin and the 2 Denver backs. If I were you, I'd give up on Britt. He's got injury issues, and a trainwreck history of off the field issues. Even if he somehow gets healthy, he'll face a significant suspension. Kendall Wright will benefit from this, and I'd pick him up.

You also might consider dangling Brown out there and see if you can pick up a decent WR. Don't expect much from Williams, and starting 3 of them, you need more than one playable guy on the bench.

well first, drop mike williams and grab RG3 or Flacco or any other qb incase stafford gets hurt. I don't think your team is good enough to overcome that, but if britt plays, he will be great. I mighty try to trade mcgahee and williams to get a player like Dez Bryant. He will play this year, and will play very well, but he's a buy-low player because of his recent arrest.
