What's wrong with my fancy mouse?

My son has had a fancy mouse for just over a year and suddenly she doesn't seem well. She's lethergic, fatter than usual and won't eat anything. She has stopped running on her wheel and either her heart is beating really fast or her breathing is labored, I cant really tell.

Shes the only mouse we have so she isnt pregnant. She isnt wheazing or sneezing or anything. The worst part is that my son is visiting grandparents for the next week. . . If the mouse dies while he's gone it'll be awful and he'll think I cant be trusted to care for his pets :(

Make sure the mouse is out of the heat and out of the sun. Visit the pet store ASAP. Give the mouse an antibiotic, its call "Bene Bac paste." Does she have soft or watery stool? She may have a little bug. Follow the directions on the Bene Bac box, she should be fine.

I hate to say but, sometimes when they are breathing hard, or their heart is racing, they are near death. I hope not, for you and your sons sake. But, I would just explain to him that the mouse may be sick. :(

I hope the antibiotic works for your mouse!!!

She might were pregnant after they obtained her within the retailer. Most men and women don't know the best way to competently sex and separate mice. That's talking from expertise with pet outlets around my field. She could also have a condition referred to as megacolon. This most commonly is fatal in younger mice.

She may be overweight.Contact the vet.

Small animals do tend to have fast heartbeats if you didn't know.
