Advice on buing good boots for a soldier?

I'm currently an AIT soldier, and I'm wondering if any of you high-speeds have some advice on buying some comfortable boots. I'm 6'2" and around 200 pounds if that helps.

What is wrong with your issue boots?

Unless you are Infantry I wouldn't be wasting $$$ on high speed boots.

I have high arches so my feet would always hurt during humps and patrols. I bought these and they are freaking great. http://www.danner.com/boots/desert-tfxr-gtxr-tempe...

Dude unless there have been some extreme changes since I was in Nam . you wear what is issued to you. I highly doubt you can wear Doc Martin's, Herman Survivor's, or Red Wing boots in the field or for inspection. Outside of that use what your maker provided...go barefoot

Get to your unit and ask what they are wearing. Best way of finding out, since they do your job and we probably don't.
