Does Tool (band) still tour?
I went to their website and their performances seemed to end in 2010, but I can't find anything that says they broke up either. So does anyone know if they tour and if so when? Also I'm in the U.S. Thanks.

I heard that a new album is in the works, which means that a tour would soon follow, they never really broke up, its just Maynard has his fingers in so many other things and his rule is to write for only one band at a time. and if you haven't heard hes in a few

Tool traditionally spends five years between records and we are on year six. Also, consider that they did a fair amount of touring last year with the most recent a month ago at River's Edge.
As the other responder mentioned, they are working around MJK's tough schedule and of this writing, five songs have been confirmed to be in the final stages of writing so I'm hoping for a Christmas release date for the new album although that might be pushing it.
