Why are UK funeral directors' charges so high? 4 pallbearers @ manual wage, say £8/hr = £32. Admin about 10?

hrs @ say £15/hr = £150. £50 for the hearse for 1 hr. Double these costs to cover office overheads, fair profit, and marketing would make total up to £464. Add say £30/day for an average of 2 weeks for storing the body, = £420. Total £884. But they actually charge three times that, so what am I missing? Do they have a cartel or are there some genuine faults in my economics or costs I haven't thought of?

Update:

Crematorium fees are on top of what I stated. In contrast, THEIR fees seem fair.

Sorry but that is a gross simplification. They 'prepare' the body for burial, making it look as natural as possible to save distress to family members if they wish to actually view the body to pay their respects (as did my wife and her sisters when their Mother died), they will arrange what ever sort of memorial service the next of kin wish, pay the fee's for Burial or cremation, provide the coffin. Like any business they have to buy and maintain a premises, buy and maintain the Funeral cars and Hearses'. Pay Council tax and utility bills, insurance, Road Tax on the vehicles etc etc

The gist of the debate accessible (sorry, there are too many pages to supply each and all the hyperlinks) is that wands help to concentration the magic resident interior the witch or wizard, yet wandless magic remains obtainable, extremely for terribly proficient people like Snape and Dumbledore. some examples ... Apparition Assuming one's Animagus variety (or Metamorphpagus) Accio (the Summoning charm) Elves can do magic without making use of wands Lumos
