Tenants Rights in Oregon when someone rents a room in a house that is shared by the owner and the owner wants?

the tenant to leave because they have decided that they want to put the house on the market for sale and not have anyone living in the house. What rights does that tenant have in regards to being evicted, time-wise, etc. This has been an admirable tenant, always pays rent, etc. The owner just wants the house unoccupied.

You are not being evicted, your tenancy is being terminated with 30 days notice. There is nothing you can do if the landlord does not want to rent to you any more without a lease. The same goes for an apartment. It is nothing against you. If you have a lease, the owner can pay you to break it, called Cash for Keys. I dont know about Oregon, you should check to see if room rentals have the same rules as apartment rentals.

Where in Oregon is the house? I know someone who might want to buy it. And might let the tenant stay there a while.

If there is no lease then 30 days notice is all that is needed.
