Why do people get mad when food is wasted?

Again why should people waste what other's can use? Another consideration buffets have the prices set based on the amount of food the average person eats if those food costs go up because more food is being used the prices will also go up.

Yes my mom ***** about it all the time. Yelling me for not eating all my food. She says the same things all the time . What about the people, who have nothing to eat. I always think, but when i eat it, they still have nothing to eat. Its a lose lose situation.

When I was little people always used to tell me to eat my food because of starving kids in other countries. I always wondered why we couldn't just give my uneaten food to them. Me eating my food isn't going to help anyone but me.

I hate wasting food. Other people could have eaten food that's thrown away.

Lol. My parents were also like that when I was little. I guess it's just their way of telling me to appreciate what I have because other kids might not be that fortunate.
