Have you ever seen the umpires perform as badly as they did today? (BQ inside)?

Didn't see it but heard a bit on the radio. Wow - normally Bruce is an apologist for the umps so it must have been bad.

It's sad because the whole season can be decided by one performance like that. Its funny that I was watching the WCE v Sydney game last week and I thought "these umps are good ... I've hardy noticed them". Wish we got more of that than the prima donnas or ones that like talking into their mike to explain their stupid decisions!

Oh ... and BQ - Bruce should have a "please explain" about a lot of things - but this is not one of them! :-)

I am a Richmond supporter but I'll try and not be biased.

The way I saw it the umpiring was atrocious both ways! Great game of footy marred by silly decisions or lack of decisions; there was a period in that game (late 2nd) where the umpires must have swallowed the whistle so many holding the ball, throws, head high contact went on punished for both teams

Has had great fulfillment consequently a techniques , yet has yet to make that huge ruin. He has great skill although. ~CM Punk - 30. Already a Triple Crown Winner , and 2 time WHC. to not point out ECW Champion , and 2 time MITB Winner. Plus , he's getting a great Push. he's by way of a techniques the final of those 4 Performers...

I only saw the second half of the third and the fourth quarters but there was a couple of mistakes. The one that sticks with me was that throw not paid in the last minute.

How could the ump possibly think that the North players could handball the ball with one arm? That one call could decide so much.

I think commentators are exempt from those rulings as they are expected to speak their minds. The AFL just can't afford to have players and coaches doing that. If Bruce does get fined, then we should all get fined for what we're saying here too.

Lets just the say the umpiring was close to the worst I have seen this year, I'll leave it at that. (the throwing the ball decisions are getting out of hand.)

BQ- Bruce won't get a please explain, he can say what he likes about Umpires, just as the non players on the footy show do every week, it's no different to what they say.

the umpiring is atrocious at the moment. a player gets the ball and has has prior and then gets tackled and dispossessed, AND THE UMPS JUST WAVE THEIR BLOODY ARMS IN THE AIR!!. i went to coll v haw and i actually think the ump put a bet on hawthorn or something. umpires need to fix the holding the ball decision because it ruining the game.

i didn't really notice the umpiring during that game, but man who would have thought that was gunna end up as the best game of the round

Only saw the last 5 mins... was barracking for Richmond to come from behind!

they were pretty awful during the crows v eagles game...but hell they are always horrid.
