Has there ever been a more courageous and inspiring leader than Jonathan Brown?
It's really not surprising, but still to see a man like him go out is always sad
5 AnswersAustralian Rules7 years agoWhat's going on with buddy?
Been trying to think of what scenario could have had him manage to hi not just one parked car but four, the only plausible situation that came to me is the seizure he had at the start of the year was not an isolated incident.
4 AnswersAustralian Rules7 years agowhat happens to Dank?
we have seen the punishments handed down to corcoron, hird and bomber thompson with doc reid contesting his charge. But the man at the very centre of the whole thing Dank is nowhere to be seen
7 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agohas there been a side in the competition better than geelong in the wet?
I think it's fairly common knowledge that the cats are a class above anyone else in the competition at the moment when the skies open up and it gets wet, but has there been a side better in those conditions.
They showed last week just how devastating they are in wet and slippery conditions,
3 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agocould voss's sacking be a catalyst?
to brown and black retiring at the end of the year?
2 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agowhat could the saints do?
St Kilda have found themselves in the unenviable position of having to decide how to handle the stephen milne allegations. How would you suggest they handle this, given the seriousness of the situation (it can not be understated how bad this is)
2 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agoWest coast need more speed in the centre?
But where do they get it, granted we got wellingham out but we need something else, Gaff gets tagged out, Shuey is one paced, Embers is too old, Kerr is much the same.
What can they do to fix it, we know the firepower there is in the forward line. We know the backline is generally solid. But where can we get some extra leg speed in the middle.
4 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agodid anyone else watch the gws v adelaide game?
For no other reason than morbid curiosity (kind of like people watching a house fire or a car crash sort of thing)
5 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agowhich of these 2 rivalries is the best?
West coast vs Sydney (around the 05 and 06 period) or the more current Geelong vs Hawthorn (kennett's curse lol)
and what puts the one chosen over the edge for you?
7 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agowhich coaches will be feeling pressure to keep jobs this year?
Pretty much each and every year there is one, or more coach that is essentially on the edge and one bad year can push them over and out of a job, who would it be this year (for example last year 2012 was Ratten, 2011 was woosha. with 2 extremely different results
7 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agoAre teams such as west coast or collingwood?
successful because they are rich, or rich because they are successful.
For a while now there has been a contributor who seems of the opinion that money can buy flags (something i disagree with, flags get the clubs money is how i see it.)
I do realize this is a lot like the chicken or the egg debate, but you get that.
also it offered aussie rules as the suggestion, what a rarity it got it right
6 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agoSo i got to thinking about next year?
and for the first time i think ever, i have no idea how it will actually go. this year i had pretty much pencilled in the hawks (while they didn't win, they were in the grand final) but this year showed how close it all was.
Could next year be the tightest contested season, it sure looks like it to me. so many sides hitting their prime at the same time (collingwood, hawthorn, geelong, west coast, adelaide, sydney, fremantle, carlton and essendon all looking dangerous)
6 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agoshould the eagles take cripps and pick 25 for brown?
Assuming ofcourse that Pickering is correct and that is indeed the offer on the table (which its not entirely impossible that it isn't) should west coast take that offer (i think they probably should, 25 being a better pick than we even have this year)
2 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoOf the games your team won this season, what was your favourite?
Mine was vs north in hobart (round 15)
after being well and truly outplayed for 3 quarters, a little fella by the name of dean cox nearly single handedly turned the game on its head and allowed the eagles to walk away with a narrow 2 point win against a north side that really came out to play.
9 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoDid the pies really think about what they were doing?
What did their recruiters take to make it seem like a good idea to pick up the big Q, I can not see how he can possibly fit into a team with Cloke and Dawes (Dawes particularly is almost as big and clumsy)
8 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoIf aami stadium and subiaco oval were larger?
would the clubs based in Perth and Adelaide be able to compete with the membership juggernaut that is collingwood.
3 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoDoes anyone else feel for brent guerra?
the poor guy had his premiership medal from 2008 stolen, and it looks as if there is a chance he may miss out on the finals series with a hammy (it looked pretty bad).
