If aami stadium and subiaco oval were larger?

would the clubs based in Perth and Adelaide be able to compete with the membership juggernaut that is collingwood.

Update:

there were afew monumental screw ups in regards to the tickets in the Adelaide v fremantle game. Time and price being the biggest of them.

Also to be brutally honest that game wasn't really a good game to watch, at least from my point of view.

A few clubs have issues like this. Geelong has a seating capacity of 23000 at the moment. So about 17,000 members missed out on tickets that they've actually paid for with, say, the Sydney game ... and then we had the Sydney whingers complaining that they couldn't get all their members in!

I'd be really interested to see how many REAL members these clubs have. I haven't seen the stats but there are about 5 different types of membership from about $100 a family to about $800. Funnily there was not a lot of difference between the Collingwood and Geelong ballots last year as to % of members who got tickets, so I can only presume that a lot of their members aren't the full members who are entitled to GF tickets.

I have no doubts about that at all, especially West Coast. If the proposed new stadium is built in Perth I would anticipate West Coast to overtake Collingwood's membership very quickly. There would be a lot of interest in the 3 or 5 game membership packages I'd imagine.

well west coast have 57 000 members and around 10 000 familes on the waiting lists for memberships. If the average family is 4..well thats another 40 000. Then there is die hard supporters like myself who are not on the list yet for the fact that you have to wait over 10 years to get into being a member. Imagine how many people are in WA. Then there is a big supporter base in victoria aswell. Its kinda crazy to even think how many people are west coast fans lol.

When the new stadium comes there will still be a waiting list for memberships.

I recon they could build a 80 000 + seater inwhich eagles fans will happily fill :).

I am not really sure about aami stadium. they can fit in over 50 000 right? well they only got 31 000 for last nights game. so Idk there
