when is a budgie female mature enough to start laying infertile eggs?
I would like to know because I have a 2 female budgies and one male, they all hate each other even though they and 1 of the females is in breeding state and 1 I was wondering how long it takes for once a female budgie is born, for it to go into breeding state, 2 how long will it last, and 3 the question in the title....and if the female is in breeding state, shouldn't she be ready to lay?

1 year min at 6 months you can see the white ring around / on their eye. i dont recommend breeding a bird less than 1 year because it will be a pain. i got a bird a few months ago and took the previous breeding box of my old feamale bird(she died ) .because the nestbox was out of the cage, i always leave the cage open. she would wander everywhere and shred evry thing possible. then she matured a little.mine layed a egg at 6 months. i wasnt try ng to breed her she was. then my bird ditched her mate and went with another one of my birds. Lesson that i learned waiting is crusial because they will be reckless if not matured
