Dell Inspiron 15r or HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 Quad Edition?
Alright, so I need a computer for college, and because college starts in like a month I thought it might be a good idea to buy one soon. I have it narrowed down to the Dell Inspiron 15r and the HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 Quad Edition.
In terms of hardware, they will be configured similarly. Core i7, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB Hard Drive, all that fun stuff. I like the HP a bit more because it has a metal finish and just because I like HPs, but my dad is an IT guy and uses Dell for almost all of his stuff. So can anyone chime in? Because I need a laptop relatively soon.
Also, if you are just dying to tell me about a different laptop with similar specs, feel free.
Thanks!

Either laptop will do fine, as long as you immediately re-install windows 7. Both brands have been known to install bloatware in their products.

They may be both good, I say the toshiba is best although. But even higher than these two is the lenovo Y580 mainly if you need a excellent photographs card. PS in case you don't plan on taking it outside your condominium GET A laptop. An i5 on a computer is = to an i7 on a computing device, equal care for the snap shots card, a desktop may also be upgraded so handy and a tough pressure on a computer within the same fee range or less expensive often has a 7200 rpm as apposed to the 5400 rpm on the desktop (that means your pc will turn on faster and cargo the whole lot faster). In the event you ought to go for a computing device i'd go for the lenovo Y580, or even either of the two you picked out.
