Always feel my heartbeat, anxiety?
I know it is anxiety, I've had every physical test under the sun and nothing abnormal is found. I am always aware of my heartbeat and take my pulse like 100 times a day, very OCD. I worry a lot about heart health and have panic attacks a few times a week because I think I am having an arrhythmia every time I feel my HR change. I'm 28, good health, don't smoke, drink socially.
Is there any way to desensitize myself so I stop feeling my heartbeat all the time and wanting to check it? Anyone have experienced this personally?

I dont think there ever was a person suffering from anx that didnt think they have some kind of heart problems and are probably gonna die from heart attack etc...
Really,its the most common symptom,i as well had it when i had anx(yes,past tense cause you can beat anx)
Key to getting rid of anx would take a while to write,but if you want to know how just go search anx forums,you will find a ton of helpfull stuff there(pills are not the answer)
Ok,about your heart problems,first you need to know that anx can cause heart palpatations,its really normal,and heart palpatations in general are completely harmless.
How to get rid of you heart problems,its easy really,you just need to realise that everything is alright with your body,there is no secret illnes that doctors cant find etc...Your heart is fine and its all in your head.Just try to realise that.
If you want to step it up a notch,do what i did one time,and it actually stoped my panic attacks for good.
When you get panic attack,and ofc you think your heart is gonna fail or stop or whatever,not only will you realise during that panic attack that nothing will happen to you,but you will challenge panic attack to give you a heart attack,scream from the top of your lungs to give you heart attack,cause you are fed up with it and lets just be done with it and give me a heart attack...
Thats what i did,and it stopped my panic attacks for good,the key is to challenge panic attack,the key is not to just embrace and make piece with panic attack,but the key is to challenge it,the key is to invite it to the imaginary boxing ring and beating the crap out of it.

I had this problem for a little while and still havingvit slightly. The best thing I could say is too keep urself busy. That will help more than anything keeping ur mind off it will help.
