Ideas for decorating my dorm room?

I have the same type of style as you so I think I might be able to help! I really think a good idea to have would decorate one wall of the room with a bunch or photos/posters making it look like a collage thing :) Also I would try and bring vintage sheets and blankets maybe with a nice Pastel pink a white color!(Make sure that you have a little piece of home with you!) And i think that it would be cool to hang paper lanterns from the ceiling!

Those sound like good colors to stick to. Try to get a lot of colorful things in those colors, as dorm rooms are usually pretty dull looking without decorations.

However, when it comes to wall hanging anything, remember that dorms almost always have a ban on nails, and some now are beginning to ban to use of tacks, to hang things up. If the special no-damage wall putty can't hold it up, it's probably not going to work.

Im in the process of redoing my room, so I've already painted my room a very light pink, furniture is white and all other decor is black, my bedding is Amelia 8 peice dorm from bedbathandbeond it comes with 2 towels and you might need them for a dorm, I advise you to get wall decals :))

Pieces of plywood that have been covered with fabric of your choice (attached with either staples or wood glue) can be hung from your wall or displayed on your desk.

Picture frames on your desk with pictures of your friends and family.

Matching curtains and rugs in the room.

A ribbon board with pictures and memos.
