USB into Stereo Receiver?

I have an old stereo receiver that I would love to somehow connect to a USB thumb drive that has around 400 mp3s on it.

I know that they make "docks" for ipods and other MP3 players, but is there such a thing to go between a USB drive and the old receiver?

I've noticed that a lot of the new stereo receivers don't have USB ports either. It seems you have to buy a home theatre receiver for this feature. I just want a stereo receiver to play music, not watch movies through/have surround sound or anything like that.

If the pinnacle unit has a a million/8 port (comparable length as your headphone jack) you may get a cable @ radio shack to connect the vehicle up like a huge speaker. GM vehicles have them in the production unit radios - unsure of the aftermarket - sorry.

there is no direct cables for that... you should connect your usb device such as flash drives ito a reader/player or medium then you connect the medium to the stereo
