Also Japan serves as a great example. In Japan it is illegal to own any sort of weapon, and their intentional firearm homicide rate per 100,000 people is 0.02 compared to our 4.14.
Their Intentional homicide rate per 100,000 people is also very low at 0.35 compared to our 4.8.
Gun laws can and do bring down violent crime in most developed countries, but only if the government enforces the laws.
