Epilepsy & Alcohol HELP PLEASE !?

Hi,

Today after 6 long years my epilepsy is "cleared" I had bloods done and check ups and the doctor discharged me so now I am no longer on medication anymore or need to go to check ups.

Will I be able to drink alcohol like a normal person?

I never never drank it before and I'm 17 in september. Can I start ?

Update:

@Mira :

I mean like a person that does not have any medical conditions.

    After six years I'ld think you have a good relationship with your doctor who cleared you. Since he or she is intimately familiar with your case history, how 'bout giving him or her a call and asking rather than taking chances with us, h-m-m-m? My guess is moderate drinking would be okay, but I'm not a medical person, and neither are most of the other responders on these boards. Congratulations on the clean bill of health and Best Wishes to you going forward :-))

    i don't know what you mean by 'like a normal person' but i'd honestly even stay away from a beer a day or even a glass of wine everyday- i'd say once a week. because honestly, alcohol's very addictive and i know many people who can't stop drinking.
