New bras... Are they really good?

The 'Aha', 'Belviere', etc; all smooth & elasticated ones we see all over tv shop sites etc..

Are they any good; esp for smaller busted, 40yr+ ladies?

I HATE ordinary bras - so uncomfortable!

My worry is, before I go ahead and purchase these 3 pack deals... that being only an A-B cup, (English/British size)....they will actually just FLATTEN me rather than 'enhance'; like the standard bra does; inspite of horrid under-wire & in-built padding.

My boobs are not saggy in the least(!) but b'cos they are not 'big' - I fear the elastic-ness would just constrict and flatten my shape?!

Thanks ladies for understanding and for your informed opinions :)

Update:

Thanks so much for responses, BUT WOULD LOVE ANY ANSWER TO MY CONCERNS as in Q. Cheers! :)

I LOVE them for comfort and for me are the best everyday bra ever.

If I am going anywhere special I do go back to my ordinary bra for extra uplift depending on what I'm wearing, but as soon as I get home it's off and the comfort bra is back on again.

Wouldn't like to live without them again.

They would be terrible for you. Us smaller girls need to learn that underwire and padding DO NOT make us look better. Bigger, maybe, but not better. I am still young enough that I don't really need to wear a bra for support, but when I do wear one, I wear sheer, light ones (bralettes, even) that allow my natural shape to stay as much as possible. A natural shape with some natural bounce is far more attractive than either fake, padded underwires or those ridiculous TV elaticized bandages they call a bra. If yo have giant boobs that need to be controlled, they make sense. But on smaller girls like us, they just flatten and eliminate any natural shape.
