What are good shrubs or bushes for the west side of my house?

I am trying to find some bushes or shrubs for the west side of our home. We get part sun in the morning and full sun in the afternoon. I am in west Tennessee with lots of good soil. I have a huge rose garden in front of the house, so please no roses. please help

    I would think that a few photinia bushs complimented with some forsythia would be a nice combination. Allow the forsythia to grow, do not trim, only thin. Photinia can be trimmed in the fall.

    Then for structure, I would add a few Yucca plants.

    Red-twig dogwoods, Hibiscus, Crape Myrtle bushes, hydrangeas, Wallflower's, Azaleas, rhododendrons, Peonies, lavender, indian pink hawthorn, Forsythias, and Loropetalum.

    Try fringe trees. They are very short for trees, shrub size. Easy care and they smell great too.
