I live a few hours away from Charleston. I have been there many times. I can honestly say it is more fun in the summer. You can go online and look up things to do when you go. Very few people go swimming in the winter because the water is cold. There are horses and charriots you can take to ride arond in a specific area. They even have a VERY large farmers market that I myself enjoy going to when I go to down there. But most people usually go to Charleston for the history and to buy fish off the boats because it is cheaper than going to the store an buying it. And you also get more that way as well
