HIV Positive Should they tell people?
I have a neighbor that is HIV Positive, They told me that a while ago. I never told anyone but my family. One of my grandchildren told them that I told them . Should they tell people about their illness or keep it quiet?

It's not relevant unless they are doing something with people where a negative person is at risk of catching it, such as sex or injecting drugs together. If you just go over to say hi to the neighbor and have a chat or go the movies together, I don't think they should have to disclose that because the possibility of you getting HIV from them in scenarios like this is nonexistent.
On the other hand, if they are kissing someone, then yes I think they should disclose it. Even though it's close to impossible to get HIV this way. If there's a lot of physical contact even if it's not sex, then I also think they should disclose that. Because even though there may no risk, it would be very common for a regular person to start worrying about a potential risk and this could trigger hypochondria or other problems related to stress. A person with HIV should not be offended by this but understanding because there are a lot of people that are freaked out about that and close body contact such as hugging could cause a person to start worrying if they later found out the person is positive.
