I have a conflicting life chose ?

Im 18 years old just finished my first year of college. Hated it. Could not stand it. I WAS majoring in physics but I quickly realized that wasn't my thing. So I thought about it and I have always loved animals and I love the idea of travaling alot, but I also have thought about becoming a detective or a criminal behavioralist because I like psychology and I'm good at it. but I'm torn between the two. I don't know what I wanna do I just wanna do something importaint and that will make me happy. What do I do ? I don't wanna wake up one day and realize I hate my life.

You're still young enough and have plenty of time to figure it out. Maybe do some volunteer work at a local vet/pet rescue, see if working with animals is something you will enjoy. Do some research. Good luck with it all :)

I'd suggest volunteer work as well. You could look up sites like wwoof.org or helpx.com since they have different work-for-food type of offers that oftentimes have something to do with animals. Or you could try something more exotic like http://www.cheetah.co.za/ and just see what you think of it. It is better to spend a few months abroad, travel, than to start a new major and regreting it later on. And if you decide animals aren't for you afterwards, psychology is always a good point to start since it leaves you with many options :-)

And it sounds simple and naive but has always worked for me: just do something and if you realize it isn't making you happy, quit. (Of course even those things that make you happy will be hard sometimes but they should still not bring forth a feeling of not wanting to do it at all)

    Good luck!

you are yound I'd have a year off. but people say that is what the rich do. that is mostly true. Think hard about what you want because you are just wasting time if you are not doing the classes you need to get there.

think about everything about the two, money, time, how many years will it take to graduate if you choose that career.

    Hmmm...

    Art History?

You travel to archaeological sites/museums that you specialize in to inspect their artifacts.

Art Historians can also be art critics, tour guides, appraisers (for personal cases as well as auctions), write books, give lectures, etc.

There is PLENTY of detective work to be done on artifacts.

Why not become a psychologist. Detective and Criminal Behaviourist seem depressing. Unless you think you can handle it. I personally wouldn't like to see dead bodies and killers every day, but that's just me.
