I know 1st Armored div is in Texas, but what about overseas? Korea? Italy? Germany? Kuwait? Any soldiers have 1st hand knowledge?

    Anywhere we have tanks, Hero.

For the most part, a first term tanker can expect to go to one of the following:

Fort Hood (1 AD // 1 Cavalry Division)

    Fort Bliss

    Fort Carson

    Fort Stewart

    Fort Benning

    Fort Irwin

    Fort Reily

    Korea

This is not an all-inclusive list, and is really only for first termers, but correct for the most part. We have no tanks in Italy, the Armor battalion in Germany will be gone by the end of the year, and Kuwait will be filled by rotational units from the above list. If you were a Stryker guy, then your overseas assignments would be more varied.

M1 tanks are only used in war zones.
