Female Cichlid Holding?
I always thought it was a male yellow lab i had, its yellow with a black stripe on the top fin, but i guess its a female because she hasnt eaten for 4 days or so, and there was ofod at the top of the tank and she nosed it a bunch but didnt open her mouth? i was worried so caught her and opened her mouth a little to see if there was something stuck but there was like 15 little brownish spheres? shes getting a little skinny in my 29 gal with 3 other fish. Shes done this 2 other times but i didnt know they were eggs. what should i do to help her spit them out faster? do i absoulutely have to get another tank? help please

Ciclids are mouth brooders, meaning they raise their offspring in their mouths. She's not eating because she has babies in her mouth and may swallow them. She's fasting and will be fine. The baby's will be fine, the parents will protect them from other fish in the aquarium. As soon as the babies have outgrown the mother's mouth and she spit them out give her something to eat. The babies will come out in due time, do not force them out. Fish can fast for a long time, she'll be fine. You may want to give her and the babies some hiding places if you haven't yet.
