If something cant come from nothing then what did God come from?

I dont get how people can make this argument considering their logic here is that something cannot come from nothing meaning that God must have come from something, which basically forms a paradox...but then again isnt religion just one big paradox?

Update:

@Hana Yes but then using the argument that something cant come from nothing is a bit hypocritical considering you're saying God always existed meaning he basically came from nothing.

Understanding that the position is that God does not have a beginning but is from eternity past through eternity future will alleviate your failure to grasp why there exists no paradox to state something cannot come from nothing because in this case he didn't have a beginning but always was.

Now take a serious look around at everything. Do you really believe everything is by random chance from a non-intelligent source? Would there not be more chaos in the world? Universe?

    You are almost there...

God (Even if God came from nothing) = Intelligence and information at beginning

Singularity from nothing = no intelligence and information at beginning

My favorite Christian answer to this one is usually "nothing can come from nothing and nothing is eternal unless it's the God I choose to believe in in which case the rules don't apply."

God doesn't represent anything material. So you can't ask such a question. But its stupid to look around you and not see intelligent design in everything. its simple. Someone or something created everything, even if we can't prove it. Did someone or something create God? Possibly. But again, we cannot know this.

God existed before nothingness. Get your head around that.

I'm sure Christians will come up with the excuse that god is eternal or some stupid weightless bullshit.
