Why is the Higgs Boson called the God particle when it has nothing to do with God?
Scientists hate it when it's referred to as the God particle, because it has nothing to do with God! It was a joke at Christians in that if it could be proved the particle existed it would prove god did not!
So Higgs Boson exists and god does not but then we have always known the latter!

Well, like you said scientists didn't call it that.
One gentleman referred to it by that name in his book, and the media predictably picked up on it as "catchier" than the term Higgs Boson or BEH Boson.

heavily, for a particle that somewhat facilitates to disprove a god by using fact it shows how mass can take place, there valuable are various people who think of the call ability it proves god. It proves god as much as vampire bats coach Dracula exists.

They wanted to call it the Goddamn particle due to its elusiveness, but decided that was inappropriate and shortened it to God particle.

because the people that came up with the name are extremely intelligent and have no other use for the word "God"
