    Hello there,

Without examining the guitar to determine exactly what the problem is, no one can give you an accurate estimate of the repair cost. No way to know how much time will be involved in fixing it. All you will get is wild guesses like the first answer. You need to take it in to get an estimate.

Replacing a missing screw is not expensive. If the pickup makes a nasty sound, that could be a different matter. If could be that a ground wire is loose. It could be the pickup is damaged.

I can give you this much information. The blue book for suggested labor charges for the installation of a pickup is $50 plus parts. Not all shops follow the blue book. But it will give you a general idea. I would expect, the work involved will about the same as if the pickup is reinstalled.

They are going to charge you numerous for fixing a guitar. I'm talking like anyplace between 50-seventy five bucks an hour. If its simply the enter, that is something more electrical than sincerely guitar-centered itself. I might appear up on google for the wiring diagrams for the squiers and notice if I could solder it together myself. That or pay 20 bucks for some soldier whiz to do it for you. If you happen to open up the guitar, you'll be able to see that the wiring is commonly far more easy than you suppose it to be. You might even see which wire has been disconnected proper from the get-go (which is what i suspect)
