What is the safest number of calories a person should lose.?

I'm 72 years old and base on my Body Mass INdex, I should reduce from 183 pounds to 147 lbs. I do treadmill, weights, and cable pulley. Yet, my weight still remains at 183 lbs. What should I do? Is there a normal calorie lose per day that I can use as a measurement?

    Try uh... 10 - 300 calories
