What breed of dog would get along with a German Shepherd?

Almost ANY DOG will get along with ANY OTHER DOG, if the previous dog or GSD is well trained/well socialized and gets along with other dogs.

Chihuahua, Rottweiler, Labrador, Siberian Husky, Chinese Crested, Shiba Inu, Pomeranian.. DOES NOT MATTER......

A friend of mine owned a German Shepherd, a Dachshund, and some small fluffy breed *I only barely remember that dog, so the breed doesn't register*. Anyways, the German Shepherd and the Dachshund got along wonderfully. The small fluffy breed was a grouch, who only tolerated the rest. lol I've seen German Shepherds get along with: - Pugs, Cocker Spaniels, Labradors, and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. In all truth, it just depends on the socialization of both dogs involved.

A Golden Retriever??? They're great dogs!! Not to Hyper, and they're great family dogs. With the smaller breeds, they're more nippy and hyper.

Also Black Labs are great dogs!

My best friend has a german Shepard and chihuahua and the get along great they are best friends they love playing with each other

Call a reputable German Shepher breeder and ask them. Don't forget to do the introduction process.

It depends if you want a big or small dog. If you get a small dog it would balance it out. But you could get a big dog also. It doesn't really matter.

My yorkie loves bigger dogs and would be fine with them. plays (if they get to rough she lets them know). Yorkie might be a good choice.
