Seeking Networking GURU for guidance?
I want to learn networking architecture, design and administration. Any advice as to what basics to learn and where the sources are? As well as where is the industry heading and what should i learn to be abreast of new technology and trends.
I am currently running Windows, OSX and Linux at home all are basically networked but I want to be an advanced specialist so as to expend my business. I must confess that I stopped using windows about 5 years ago and I only use use it when I fix computers for friends and family I see it as vamped up 80's operating system, The last time I realty knew the platform thoroughly was when it was XP. So if you have any advise about MS solutions be specific as I need to get back into the world of Windows
I need a networking GURU to guide me to and thorough to the righteous networking path.

Hi There,
Nice to you know have keen interest in the IT Service industry.
First of all if you need to know more about Servers and stuffs, then definitely you need to get into the MCITP, the course has 3 papers with indepth of the Servers. If you are interested in Core Networking, then even that has a vast field, You need to be having knowledge of CCNA, CCNP primarily.
Then you need to decide on which path you want to go, if in networking, There will be multiple fields like Basic office networking, VLAN architecture, Datatcenter Networking, Virtual networking, IP Phones technology, VOIP and a hell lot.
You can decide on which path you wanna go.
If you need more details about the field then you may reach me out through my website. To tell you frankly, I am not a Guru or anything, I have passion in the IT field, and i am into this industry since 6 years.
I am on a job where i work with around 4000 Servers, 500 Switches and access points and a lot more.
Thanks,
Ravi
