Im trying to remember a saying and can't remember it, but i know what it is trying to teach a person If anybody can remember this fairly common saying please let me know, as i've been trying to remember it for the past fer hours and its at the tip of my tongue.

The saying's meaning is that if you keep on talking or worrying about the negative thing it will happen. It almost has the same meaning as "You are the architect of your own destruction" but that's not the one i am looking for.

I want to learn networking architecture, design and administration. Any advice as to what basics to learn and where the sources are? As well as where is the industry heading and what should i learn to be abreast of new technology and trends.

I am currently running Windows, OSX and Linux at home all are basically networked but I want to be an advanced specialist so as to expend my business. I must confess that I stopped using windows about 5 years ago and I only use use it when I fix computers for friends and family I see it as vamped up 80's operating system, The last time I realty knew the platform thoroughly was when it was XP. I need a networking GURU to guide me to and thorough to the righteous networking path.

I currently have an DNS 323 from D-link and would like to upgrade to either a Netgear RNDP400U or a Synology DS412+. I want to use the DNS as a media server, a Bit-torrent client, cloud storage, backup for my Mac (using time machine). I will also be using it for my business/

I need the NAS to be quiet and am unable to find anything on the Netgear with respect to noise rating. I also know the Synology DS4121+ has a better processor and has USB 3, as well as an interesting app environment.

I know the Netgear will do everything i want however the Synology is a newer platform.

Anybody that had interaction with either of these NAS please let me know what you think of it.

I want to learn LINUX and wanted to know if anybody had any suggestions on what i should get. I read that many people are using Fedora i know it is a popular choice but I'm not sure if it is a good option. I want to be able to learn LINUX as wall as have a positive experience with the environment while surfing, or using it for productivity.

Suggestions please.

ADSL(HSA) 16 MBPS service is $249 and DSL is $40 for the same speed. What warrants this difference in price, and what are the benefits if any with ADSL(HSA).

By the way I just noticed that the HSA abbreviation is being used for ADSL, is it the same or is it a way to re brand an expensive service?

I bought a Netgear N900 (WNDR4500) and i am unable to connect to my NAS (DNS-323). I see the drive in my list of connections under "SHARED" (Mac OS) however when i click on it it cannot connect and says "network connection failed". When i plug in my old router (D-Link DIR-615) it has no problem recognizing the NAS.

What do i need to do to get the NAS working on my new Netgear N900 router?

Lets say there are two companies that provide the exact same level of service, same product, and same prices, however one is a corporation whose goal is maximize shareholder equity and profits, and the executives are highly paid. The other company is a non-profit where all profits are invested into social, environmental, or research, and the executives are paid the same as for profit companies.

Which one would you support?

Would you be willing to pay a bit more for one then the other? Which one?

Do you feel that an executive for a non--profit should make more ore less then the for profit executive? Why?

I live in Toronto, Canada and pay too much with ROGERS internet. I looked at BELL Canada internet and found that they are no better. I am looking for some ISP with unlimited options or have a large bandwidth limit at a good price, around $40.

I just got a notice from ROGERS that prices will be changing (in corporate speak this means more money for them and less for me).

I have a PS3 and download lots as well as watch movies from my PC to my TV via the PS3. Because the PS3 goes over the internet and not over a local network I use between 100GB and 175GB per month. HELP

if anybody lives in Canada and knows a good provider for DSL please let me know.

I have been separated for 6 months. My wife decided to be with a co-worker of hers whom she new for 2 months prior to letting me know she wants a divorce. This shattered everything in my life and I have not been able to rebuild or focus on my life since.

The past 2 years there were some setbacks and difficult times as we had 2 miscarriages which I was blamed for and my career was not going the way I wanted it to. I was not making enough money to relieve some of the burden of my wife.

She said she wanted to be single and have fun, said many cruel things. She took my deepest insecurities and used them to justify her decision.

I recently found out she is 5 months pregnant with the guys baby. This absolutely destroyed me as this was to be our child.

We were together for 10 years and she meant the world to me, I loved everything about her, she was my inspiration. I still love her.

I am in despair and have no will or ambition to do anything.

How do I move on and find myself?
