Three female white rats...need help?
I have three female white rats. They are 2 years and four months old. Two of the 3 have very large lumps on their legs. Could anyone explain what these are?

I had two female rats, both of whom developed a number of tumors like the ones you've described at about age three. I took one to the vet and had the surgery to have them removed - I don't recommend this! She was listless and in pain for days, and died weeks after. My other rat lived comfortably with her tumors for another year, and didn't have to go through a painful surgery that didn't really help

They are Mammary Tumors. They are very common in female rats around 18 months old or older. You can go to the vet an get them remove.
http://ratfanclub.org/tumors.html ,--- About tumors.
Edit: Only get a tumor remove by a good rat vet. They should give them pain medication and Antibiotics. Some vets won't give you antibiotics for rats, but ask any ways. It helps prevent an infection. Any surgery you give an animal, will be painful, but the pain medication makes most of the pain go away.
