what's the best way to clean my bunny?

yes, I know, rabbits are typically self-cleaning. unfortunately, one of my poor bunnies had a bout of mild diarrhea, which she has now recovered from, but it's left some of the fur on her underside a bit... well... gross.

I already know bath + bunny = a big no-no... she's 9-10 weeks old and very calm - as long as I've got her cradled in my hand or arm and well supported, she doesn't squirm much if I have her on her back for short periods of time. would it be safe for me to hold her like that and use an unscented baby wipe (or 5, lol) to gently clean her underside or might it leave residue that could be harmful if she licked herself later?

Update:

I was trying to avoid having a washcloth covered in bunny poop, lol... if that's safer than a baby-wipe, though, I suppose I can deal with it :P

Update 2:

is there a specific type of shampoo for bunnies, or no? if not, would cat shampoo work? (on the theory that cats lick themselves a lot and their shampoo can't leave anything behind that would be harmful)

I would put her bottom in a bowl of water and rub at the fur with animal shampoo to remove the poop. Any poop that does not come off can be cut off with scissors.

A clean cloth and a bowl of warm (not hot!) water should clean her up, just wipe gently with the cloth. If you notice any of it has really dried on it may need to be snipped off but be very wary of doing that as bunnies kick out!
