Why do Israelis feel that Press TV is an unreliable news source?
Please don't give me stupid answers like because they are,
If you say that their news is false prove it.
@ BMCR all you proved to is that you like to wallow in horse hockey.
That's the only thing that you proved to me son.
@ Dean son if I want to call anything unreliable I would say it's wikipedia, you do realize that it's written by people and corrected by people so basically you could write that the sky is purple and it will get printed on wikipedia, you do realize that don't you? if you don't then you're not as smart as I thought you are.

Maybe because they don't tend to follow main stream media and prent what the Israelis tell them to print, instead they stick to the truth, and that hurts Israel, when somebody tells the truth about them I mean.

Because its totally not accurate the press knows whats happening but they change it so it will be more "intersting" or even some personal reasons
I got a friend in netherlands she suddenly told me "Stop the terror in Bulgaria I will be going their soon >.<"
I thought she just spelled wrong but she heard at her news that "Israeli terrorist suicided at a buss and 8 bulgarians died" see how the press changing everything? when it was a terrorist (Probably iranian) who suicided and 8 Israelis died
Another example is the Flotilla raid, a turkish ship didnt listen to Israel when they wanted to do a normal check on their ship which was sailing to Gaza, the Flotilla rejected and go against the international law, Israeli navy used force to stop the flotilla, the sailors of the flotilla used different kind of weapons to attack the Israeli soldiers and wounded some, The Israelis responded even harder by killing 8 Sailors at the end Israeli navy stopped the flotilla and found huge amount of random weapons (RPG,AK,Granades...)
Did ANY press in the world showed the last result of the raid?? about the weapons which were founded?? anyway in my opinion it was a provocation by Turkeys goverment to lower the relationship beetwin the two countries (which were in a good relationship for long time specially in military)
And the biggest example of all is Israeli-Palestinian conflict, every dumb person who really believes their is a "palestinian massacare" or "Genocide" is total moron, in total the casualities in 65 years from the moment the rebuilded Jewish state at 1948 till 2012 are around 70,000 (Arabs and Israelis) yes its allot but if you will look at the casualities of other Arab countries which had wars for very short periods (1-2 years??) their casualities are reaching in MILLIONS in such a short time, and their was plenty of wars beetwin them, but the wierd thing here nobody ever mentions them not the people or press, everyone are talking only about ISRAEL "because its more intersting"

Do you have any numbers of opinion polls which show that Israelis fell that way and how many do?
Most people maybe don't even no your source.
Think about it.: Generalizing is mental laziness.

For starters, I've attached a list of controversies involved with the station.
Really, every time I've seen a Press TV news piece on a subject I'm interested in (which goes beyond Israel, for some of you here who think otherwise), I'm either left disgusted or turn it off because I find it to be in contrast with what I know/hear from more reliable sources.
Take the Iranian protests, for example. I do remember their "coverage" of it was not satisfactory, or very existent. It seems, at least to me, that they absolutely avoid anything that would be seem as condemnatory towards their nation. While that's not necessarily surprising, it's taken to levels of extreme, since I see much more critical stances on CNN and Ha'aretz on their own countries. I have read and heard from actual Iranians that it's nothing more than a governmental mouthpiece, so I guess it's not that surprising.
I won't say their news is false, necessarily, because I've long since stopped watching the news station and don't remember it's stories (why would I?). I would say warped, since I do remember feeling sick about how they presented (or failed in presenting) certain news stories.
Really, there are far less biased news sources out there. Yes, they are biased, probably the MOST biased out there, which is something you try to AVOID. They don't - at all. And more respectable sources exist, ones that aren't really working for the Iranian government.

i do not think that Press TV news is all false, im sure that they reflect truth even partially, and also i believe that it does not restricted only to this specific news tv. all the news tv can not cover the whole truth due to their political, social, or religion points of view.
hmm, i try different news source (specially with opposite ideas) to reach the truth.
finally, these two countries have very different and opposite sides & policy, so it seems natural to be suspicious to each other news.

Part of your question contains a falsehood.
You say "Israelis".
In reality, many people consider it to be unreliable.
Actually, "unreliable" is not the correct word. Illegitimate is the correct word. In other words, they are not a real journalistic organization as they are funded by the Iranian government which itself is not democratic.
i.e. they are not independent and they do not operate from a country that honours democratic freedom of speech.
Another way of putting it, if they report something, I feel free to dismiss it merely because of who they are and don't see the need to "disprove" it. If it is true, then certainly the anti Israel crank who quotes them can find another media organization that reported it that is legitimate. (I speak from experience. Anti Israel crank quotes from Press TV or the usual suspects. I do a search on Google News for other sources of the story and cannot find it in legitimate media. I challenge the person to supply a legitimate source. They rarely deliver.)
Update:
Some examples:
Published claim that Israel was harvesting organs from Haiti.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201001...
Published claim of CIA report that said Israel has 20 years
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201005...
Claims that AIPAC was pressuring Washington into war with Iran
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201202...
I should note that in the above three examples, they were publishing UNCORROBORATED claims by single individuals.
So, from a technical point of view, they didn't "lie", they just published unsubstantiated claims claimed by others.... which is the exact OPPOSITE of journalism.
More:
Example of editorializing and another unsubstantiated claim.

Another example of editorializing
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200907...
Claim that an Israeli was selling mercenary help to Qudaffi and cited a non existent Yediot Ahronot article.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201103...
Claims "settlers" firebombed a church even though at the time of publication, the investigation was preliminary and it was not even established it was arson yet, and even if it was, the identity of them was unknown so they couldn't possibly know they were settlers.

Um. Nobody believes they are reliable.
It is an official arm of the Iranian govt.
Because they're a state-owned news agency and they serve state interests. Why would you expect them to be reliable?

I tend believe presstv, rather
than evil Israel......
Source(s): israel is a liar...
