What credit card is best for me?

I'm about to be employed and i only plan on making purchases no more than what i can afford and pay off in a couple of weeks such as paying internet bill and buying a smart phone.

If you already have a credit card, then it is best to keep the one that you already have, instead of getting a new one.

If you do not already have a credit card, then the only type of credit card that you can get is a "secured" credit card.

Visa is the most widely accepted if you can't get a credit card yet due to age or lack of credit history a debit card might also serve your purposes as long as you are making enough to cover your bills. because the money comes straight out of your checking account. basicly you set up your online bill payments for some time after you will get payed from your job and the money comes straight out of your account. Every place that takes a visa/master creitcards also takes debit cards. So you could pay cell phone and internet bills that way as long as you have the funds available. If you have a cosigner you might still be able to get a credit card that way. The key to finding the best card is to compare rates and make sure there are no anual fees associated with the card.

You will not qualify for a credit card.

Regulations are in place making it almost impossible for anyone under 21 to get a card. You must have 1 years of employment along with sufficient income.

A checking account would be a good move for the moment.

And make it a goal to have 5 months worth of income in savings.

No one should live without this emergency fund. No one.

    Then... consider a credit card.

First things first - become financially stable first - ok?
