Aches and cramps are caused by a build up of lactic acid in the muscles. Lactic acid is caused when your body doesn't get enough oxygen to mix with the lactose (sugar) in your blood to produce energy. This acid causes aches. When you stretch your muscles it allows more oxygen to flow to them through the blood. The oxygen reacts with the lactic acid to produce energy, thus curing you of aches and pains!

    Good luck.
