Well, it looks like I was wrong about Tom Hawkins...?

For a while now, i've been asking 'how can Geelong keep Hawkins in the side?'. In my opinion, he was playing terrible footy, and was only getting posession of the ball because of the awesome midfield his team has. BUT, it looks as though i've been proven wrong, as Hawkins dominated the Grand Final last year, and has picked up 'All Australian' form in the last few weeks. I hate admitting i'm wrong, but it looks like i was.

Can you name a player that at first you didn't rate highly, but as the years went by, made you do a 180, and make you think of them as a genuinely good player?

Amazing match tonight (Geelong vs Hawthorn) btw

Chris masten used to not really be all that good but has improved massively and has made me change my mind

Hey I keep writing the Swans off but they keep proving me wrong.

Tommy has always had a great action but something in his head was a problem. In the GF last year he showed he can throw his body around a bit. Now he's starting to kick and really show some courage in the contests. Could become one of the real greats yet.

He only turned 25 a few days ago!

I think my player like that is probably Kieran Jack. Thought he was trading on his Dad's name (his Dad was a rugby league great), but he's a ripper and he can come over to the Cats any time he wants :-)

Won't be sleeping for a while - seriously couldn't catch my breath for a while at the end - game of my life for me, just brilliant. (And it moved me to 732nd in the Footy Tipping :-) )

He has been phenomenal the last month or so.

Probably Freo's Michael Johnson has been one that I never thought would be all that useful ... proved me wrong, especially this year...

In the opposite sense, one who I thought would be an absolute star but has done about nothing since, was Bradd Dalziell, smashed the possession coutns from memory at the start of his Lions career, done zippo in Perth.

I've never rated Clint Jones from St. Kilda but I saw him play 1st person a couple of weeks ago and he plays a pretty good game and does the team things. His genuinely a good player on his day

I'll probably get bagged for this but Kepler Bradley. You look at him and think he is like a girrafe trying to ice skate and when he was at the Bombers as a defender he was pretty poor. Didn't start that well at the Dockers and had me ridiculing his selection but from last year up front he really turned a corner and is quite useful for the Dockers. I take back my claims of him been a hack.

Tommy was a freaking gun, especially tonight. Cant remember seeing him bombing two goals outside 50. And all credit to hold his nerves when match was on the line.
