Should I play football this year?

So it's going to be my senior year, and I have a hard decision to make.

I've been playing ball since 9th grade, and have grown to love the game. I played varsity last year and some sophomore year, my teammates are my brothers. I'll do anything for em' but the pressure of college has really slammed down and hit me. I have a 3.5 GPA and have taken 3 AP classes so far. August is a really big month for me because in one month I will be taking the ACT which I really need to nail for college apps. The only thing is that football literally takes up the month of August starting next week. No off days except Sunday, and can take up to 6 or more hours a day on certain days. I really need to use it to study...It's hard to leave my "brothers" but I think that this will be a better decision. What do you guys think?

Yes, my best advice for you is to continue playing high school football this upcoming season. At this point, it is not worth it for you to quit on your high school football team.

Keep in mind, your chances of playing college football depend on your performance in football during your senior year of high school. If you perform very well in football this upcoming season, you will greatly improve your chances of getting recruited to play for a college football program.

No, you shouldn't leave. Just spend 1 hour a day studying. If you need to, miss a day of practice and then run for it later.

If you need a messageboard to tell you whether to play football or not then just quit Nancy.
