Am I entitled to a refund?
This weekend I went to an Urban Decay counter and asked whether they had any primers that would help prevent my makeup sliding off due to my oily skin. The lady recommended the 'Pore Perfection Primer', but having worn it the last few days it's useless, in fact my makeup is completely gone and my face super oily just a couple of hours after using. I've since seen online that this primer is suitable for dry or ageing skin, not oily shiny skin like mine!
I'm so annoyed- it was £20 and I can't afford to buy something else. Should I ask for a refund? Am I entitiled to one?

The advice that prompted you to buy it was wrong and the product was not fit for purpose.
They might try to fob you off with saying that there are no refunds on make up because of Hygiene. Do not accept it and stick out for a refund. They might offer you a credit note. Do not take it as you are entitled to be reimbursed for the cost of the product. You can even if you want to push it ask for a contribution to the out of pocket expenses incurred on having to return the product.

Yes you are entitled to,idk if they have a different refund or return policy where you live but here, even if you have used the makeup they take it back if you are not satisfied. That's what happened when I took back my Mac foundation (they gave me the wrong color) and I was able to exchange it. I would think they'd do the same with urban decay seeing as Mac would be more anal about things like that.

Yes, if you can find the receipt that went along with your purchase. Return the unused portion and explain your issue with the product if they ask. If it's not past 30 days or more than half the bottle gone then this company should accept your this as a full return. Then you have that money to find a new product that should work better. good luck!

Yes! Tell them that it doesn't work for you and is not suitable for your skin. They will either let you exchange the product/give you credit/or give you your money back. You shouldn't have to buy something that expensive to only use it a couple times. You are def entitled to a refund

Yeah you are- just say somthing like " I asked an employee (sorry about spelling) for advise on make up that would be good for my skin, they recommended this product but after using it and reading the online description found that it wasn't sutible for my skin type and would like to enquire about getting an exchange or a refund.

Yes I would go back and say their advice was wrong and could you exchange it or have a refund for the correct one for your face. If you don't ask, you don't get.
