I've been diagnosed with Scoliosis . The pain in my lower lumbar is unbearable.?

My specialist said that its very slight & surgery was not recommended. I am a very slim person & weigh 105 lbs. I dont do heavy lifting or strenuous exercise. My question is this: Does anyone know of anything that I can do to ease this incredible constant pain? I'm only able to sleep 2 or 3 hrs at a time, I then have to get out of bed cuz it seems the pain

is worse when I lie down. I've tried recliners, hard mattesses, soft matresses & to make matters worse I can't take pain pills of any kind, not even Tylenol, Aleve or any of that cuz in a few hrs. I'll be hugging the toilet, pewking it all out. Would a well trained and experienced massage therapist be able to fix my problem? I hate bouncing around on the bed for hrs, trying to get some sleep. I usually end up going outside at 3a.m. to water the lawn or do laundry or something. As long as I'm not lying down its slightly more bearable.
