Any ideas for what else I may need to know about my son going to boarding school?

Firstly I need no opinions on what I'm doing, I'm happy with my decision and so is my son, it is an amazing opportunity for all of us :)

Now that's out the way! My 9 year old son is starting boarding school this Sept. I have been part of independent schooling but never boarding and wondering if there are any tips/hints as to what to expect so I don't seem stupid! Already been told they don't need hockey sticks til after Christmas not before! Oops!

We've had some info from school but some parents have been part of this world for years/generations so it's all very normal to them. Just want to make sure I have all things covered and know what to do and expect. Thanks

i go to boarding school and im 14 ...ive been there for the past 3 years...if you think hes happy then good..but make sure the school isn't faraway ....too far....cause that means u may not be able to see him as often.....if he ever complains consistently when hes there...i mean after hes settled in...then u need to find out whether he likes it there or not....he will take some time to settle in...relax ..everything will be fine....its an experience.
